It is essential that all your map data and network elements for a single project fall within the same projection zone.

Example - The USA
The USA is divided into UTM zones according to the figure below:
If your address or areas of interest are located in the UTM zone 10N, then the EPSG projection code is 32610. For any address or area, the first 3 digits (326) remain the same, and the last two digits (10) are taken from the column (10N) where your address or area is located.
Then EPSG 32610 is selected as the projection zone of the Planner project. All the map data for this projection zone (shown in the blue zone in the image below) is available for download using GIS select > GIS extract.
If you try to download the map data of the adjoining UTM zone 11N (EPSG 32611), you will see an error message saying:
"There is no data to import over this area."
All network elements (Cells/BNs, UEs/RNs, Sites, etc.) are configured to perform propagation simulations considering map data from a single projection zone in a project.
Hence, propagation simulations across different projection zones can't be handled by Planner as of now.
What to do in case your address or areas of interest are distributed accross multiple projection zones
As propagation simulations across different projection zones can't be currently handled by Planner, in case your address or areas of interest are distributed accross multiple projection zones, it is recommended:

To divide the customer and tower (site) data according to different projection zones and create one Planner project for each projection zone.
OR
-
Choose the projection zone where majority of your addresses of areas of interest are located.
