This document details new features and other changes contained in this release of Bloonet Planner.
Workflows & Features
KMZ (Google Earth) Export Enhancements
Several improvements have been introduced to optimize the export of simulation results to Google Earth:

3D Simulation Export: 3D simulation results can now be exported in KMZ format, enabling full 3D visualization in Google Earth
Pro. -
Flexible Altitude Mode Options for Coverage Results: for
above-ground or rooftop coverage simulations, two elevation modes are
available: -
Clamp to Ground mode: Aligns results directly to the terrain surface for a more natural representation in Google Earth Pro. (Recommended for 2D simulations)

Absolute mode: Displays results at their actual elevation (requires the Terrain option in Google Earth Pro to be unchecked).

Custom Transparency settings : a transparency parameter can be defined to control the opacity of exported simulation layers, improving clarity and integration with underlying map data.
Hybrid Reception Height option
In outdoor coverage predictions, receiver height can be previously selected as either “above ground” or “above rooftop” on Cell coverage GUI. For Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) networks, UEs (or CPEs) can be installed in different scenarios—on rooftops or at ground level. The new Hybrid (above ground/rooftop) option allows to automatically apply:

“Height above ground” for non-building areas.

“Height above rooftop” for building areas.
This provides more realistic coverage predictions for mixed installation
environments.
Automatic Cell Selection - Candidates Target Parameter
A new parameter “Candidates target” is now available in the Advanced
Settings of Automatic Cell Selection (ACS). This parameter provides two
options:

Sites (default)
-
Cells (new option)
With the introduction the Candidates target parameter, the support for ACS has been extended: previously limited to site level, ACS is now also available at cell level.
Access Auto Assignment (AAA) workflow enhancement
The AAA simulations now use Received Power with Margin for assignment calculations, replacing the previously used Mean Received Power. This change improves accuracy by incorporating margin considerations into the
assignment process.
Simulation Performance improvement
Prediction coverage and Automatic Cell Selection for 5G/LTE technologies:
computation time reduced by 20% to 50%, depending on project size and
configuration.
Other enhancements

A new Run Coverage Prediction action has been added to the right-click context menu of sub-groups under Cells. This enhancement allows users to quickly initiate
coverage prediction directly from the Cells sub-group level, improving workflow
efficiency and reducing navigation steps. -
The checkbox Use this projection for following imports can now be enabled when importing multiple target client location files. The selected projection applies to all files to be imported.

The default Memoryload parameter value for Mapinfo format in dtmserverconfig.xml is set to 2000M (instead of 1000M previously).
Bug Fixes

Resolved an issue causing a crash during P2P calculation when Local link variability option was enabled.

Fixed an issue where KMZ export in SaaS mode failed when the destination folder was under the shared common folder.

Importing a cells CSV file is now supported even when sites have different names but share the same coordinates.
