Introduction
This document details new features and other changes contained in this release of Siradel Planner.
Workflows & Features
BDC Filing
The solution now supports Broadband Data Collection (BDC) filing with the FCC (Federal Communications Commission, the U.S. telecommunications regulator) directly from the simulation workflow. A new BDC Filing option has been added to the simulation setup (Cell Coverage window – Output selection – Computation settings). When enabled, the CSV files required for a BDC filing are automatically generated as part of running the simulation, produced from the same propagation results the simulation computes.
Simulation results can also be exported as a shapefile, with the option to add customized fields to the coverage polygons so the export carries the attributes required for the BDC submission.
3D Texturing Limited to the Study Zone
Texturing polygons (building and vegetation types) are now generated only within the study zone, instead of for all polygons available in the map data. This reduces the 3D texture model creation time and the volume of the exported 3D model in KMZ format, facilitating its import into Google Earth Pro.
Improved Performance on Large-Scale Network Projects
Importing, creating, deleting, and grouping network elements (Sites, Cells, UEs) is now faster and smoother, even with a considerable number of elements.
Increased Maximum Study Zone Size for Coverage predictions
Larger areas can now be computed for coverage predictions, with the only remaining limit being the map data extent (map data must be in the same projection zone – see the Help Center).
Other Minor Improvements

Japanese characters are now supported for cell import and for cell predictions when the Planner project path contains Japanese characters.

Run Individual Coverage now generates results for multiple reception heights when the Multi-Floor Heights option is enabled.

3D texturing of 3D simulation results now supports vector layers with different data structures; only the polygon type and AGL (height) fields are required in each layer.

Result layers in multi-floor and 3D simulations are now automatically named with a height suffix, ensuring unique layer names in exports (KMZ) and easy identification by height.

Cells and UEs can now be created for all Sites or a group of Sites via the Create network elements option in the right-click context menu on the Sites node or on a group of Sites, without prior site selection.

For SaaS users: the Recent Projects list is now saved per user and available across sessions.
Bug fixes

Fixed a display issue where stored coverage maps were rendered incorrectly (uniform/saturated values with a blue box artifact) when reopened.

Fixed a bug where the Best Technology By DLThroughput result in multi-technology aggregation was incorrect unless the Maximum DL Throughput option was also checked.

Fixed an issue that prevented a 3D simulation from completing when high multi-floor height values were set in the UE template.

Fixed an issue that occurred when enabling Rain Attenuation with Low Band frequencies.

An Apply filtering option has been added in Project settings - Computation settings – Best server filtering to enable or disable best-server cell filtering. Disabling it resolves incomplete 2nd best server map results.
